Administrator Dashboard

Navigation Bar

The Navigation Bar is located at the top of the Administrator Dashboard. It provides quick access to various sections of the admin panel, such as the Admin Calendar, Database (Employees/Request/Holidays tab), Import/Exporting Data, and Account Management. Read more about these sections below.

Request Viewer

The Request Viewer is a table which will help you sort and filter requests.

Viewing

Selected requests will appear on the left side of the screen under the request table header. The requests will display relevant information and also provide a link to the Request Viewer which displays all details about a certain request, and is where an administrator can review, approve, or deny a request.

Filtering

The pink option box on the right allows you to filter and sort the requests shown on the left by a variety of criteria:

You can also sort by criteria such as:

Printing

Requests selected on the left side of the screen can be printed either in a list or individually. To do this click the print button in the pink option box on the right side of the screen. This will generate a PDF of the request which can be printed or saved.

Admin Calendar

The admin calendar is a matrix view of all requests in the database . It is a great way to visualize the requests and see if there are any conflicts. The calendar is color-coded to show the status of each request. The colors are as follows:

You can click on any of the requestis to open the referenced request in the Request Viewer. Additionaly holidays added by the administrator will be shown in gray.

Database

The database pages are where you can view and edit almost all data directly in the database. The database is divided into several sections:

Import/Exporting Data

The Pink Sheet Program allows you to import and export data in CSV format. This is useful for backing up data or transferring data between different systems. Currently only employee data can be imported, but both request and employee data can be exported. Employee CSV Import Format should look like this

ID,Employee Name,Type,Description
987328,Doe, John,CPTO,Contractual EE Paid Time Off
251,Brown, Michael,FTPTO,Full Time Paid Time Off
251,Johson, Susie,FTVAC,Full Time Vacation

Account Management

Account management is where you can view and edit the current employee accounts in the database. Once you create an account for an employee (either through importing csv data or manually through the database page) with an email adress, you can send them an email with a link to create their password and set up their account. This page is seperated into two lists: the accounts pending activation, and the active accounts. For accounts still pending activation you can send activation emails either to individual emails or to all the emails in the group.
